The SpediaBar is a free software application that lets you earn money while you surf the Internet. It's a small bar that docks next to your browser (Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer) and displays advertising.* You earn one point for each minute you have your SpediaBar open and you actively browse the Internet with normal surfing behavior. This amounts to $0.70 per hour if you are a Premier member.

We currently define active Internet browsing as changing URLs every minute. A change of URL is defined as loading of a new browser page. You do not need to click on the ad banners in the SpediaBar in order to accumulate points. Clicking on a SpediaBar banner changes a URL, but this will not get you more points than clicking on a link or banner in your browser. In fact, excessive clicking of banners in the SpediaBar is prohibited!
